The Thought Download

Negative self talk can seem like we're just observing the world. In reality we are judging the world and ourselves in a very self deprecating way. Doing a thought download will enable you to see your brain in action. By writing down the thoughts you are hearing, you can see what's going on in there. Most likely, everything will have a negative spin which is not your fault. It's the brain's way of always scanning for danger to keep you safe and alive.
If you’re not conscious of this, you will start to see the world negatively. This activity doesn't help us when we’re trying to stay motivated with a goal or to be positive about our life. Hearing negative things about yourself, your life, and about the world around you. The ongoing rhetoric can make you depressed, anxious and feel defeated.
The best way to access your negative noise is to do a thought download.The point is to get it all out of the spiritual state in your brain onto a physical piece of paper. You can now analyze your thoughts and evaluate them. Here you can see that you are separate from your thoughts  and can decide what to keep and which thoughts need to go. At this point you need to change negativity to a positive intentional thought that better serves your purpose. 
Anything that is judgmental about yourself or others is not necessary or useful. We have a lot of self-inflicted useless pain, due to our own thoughts. “I’m not a good person”, “I suck” ,“I'm stuck”. Then there’s thoughts about other people's thoughts about us. “They don’t like me”, “ They criticize me”, “I’m embarrassed because…” .
By the end of the day there has been so much of this internal chatter. No wonder we are exhausted and don’t feel well. 
Begin your download anytime of the day. Take lined paper, pen, and be prepared to fill up both sides. There are two ways to do this.
OPTION 1
This download concerns situations that are beyond your control or pain that need to be processed. Do your download and DO NOT re-read what you wrote. The idea here is to download the thoughts out of the spiritual realm into the physical realm so they can either disappear or to be released and softened over time.

OPTION 2
This download entails problems with self image, negative perceptions we have about ourselves.  We need to re-read the printed thoughts and clearly become acquainted with them so when we hear them we can intentionally change them into a more positive direction.

Do these downloads every day - several times a day when struggling with stubborn entrenched thoughts or feelings. Use this technique during times of extreme sadness or loss for relief.
